Safe, Not Scared This Halloween

It’s the most spookiest time of the year! Halloween is right around the corner which means candy bowls will soon have to be in constant refill. This holiday is always a great time for children and adults. Whether you’re going out to a Halloween party or trick-treating around the neighborhood with your kids, you should always take precautions of things that may go wrong that night. We want you to stay safe, not scared this Halloween. Review our short tips below so the only things you need to be scared of that evening are Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger.

Stay Lit
  • Carry a glow stick or flashlight while trick-or-treating.
  • Only go up to houses with their porch light on or has exterior Halloween decor.
  • Go on streets where there are a lot of other trick-or-treaters or streets that are well-lit.
Flameless Candles

Use flameless candles if you are planning to leave your jack-o-lanterns out.

Candy Check

Throw out any opened or suspicious-looking candy immediately.

Uber/Lyft is Your Batman for the Night

The last thing you want to do is drive home after a long, fun night at your Halloween social gathering/party. If you feel too tired or not sober enough, order an Uber or Lyft. Avoid getting into a car with a driver who is not sober or wide awake enough to drive.

If you are planning to drive that evening, please take precaution that a trick-or-treater can come out of nowhere. It is best to leave your high beams on on dim or dark streets in case a drunk driver or children are around.
